• First, we select a high-end premium photo paper. For enlargements, we’ve chosen the Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper 260g.
• Second, we use the best of breed of digital printing technology, coupled with Ultrachrome K3 inks to ensure that your Classic XL will hold its true-to-colour promise of 75 years.
• Then, we apply to Classic XL our renowned know-how ("savoir faire") from our lab in Fine Art printing to ensure that your enlarged prints are truly exceptional.

Beyond a classic paper : almost Fine Art, and so much better than traditional photo paper, both in durability and color precision

DarQroom choose a well known reference by top photography professionals i.e. the Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper. This paper offers a high precision rendering and optimal contrast. Lustered, this paper is also attractive thanks to its thickness, greater than that usually given.

The best of print technology

To fully exploit this paper, we print your Classic XL poster prints on Epson Pro 11880 and Epson Pro 9900 printers. Their ink management produces an incomparable level of quality, especially with the last generation HDR inks which introduce new colors to fill the entire spectrum and improve the range of tones. This is the case of green and orange inks, the latest allowing to reduce the graininess on the so hard to return flesh tones. Moreover, they are equipped with highly accurate printheads for optimizing the potential of inks.

We use the UltraChrome™ K3 ink technology which provides:

• a perfect and neutral grey balance
• a wide color gamut
• an exceptionnal longevity and durability for prints on lustered paper
• higher details in black areas thanks to the use of Black, Light Black, and Light Light Black inks
• intense blacks and avoid colour distorsion
• subtile tones due to light coloured inks such as cyan or magenta

Based on improved pigment and resin chemistry, those inks improve lustered substrates' brightness and density such as Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper. Thus, your poster prints benefit a higher quality, either in Black and white or in colour, whatever light conditions.

Which resolution for which poster size?

The quality of a print relies on the image resolution. It corresponds to dots density (dpi : dots per inches).

To ensure optimum quality for your XL prints, you find a coloured indicator in your cart settings. You see in a blink if your images has an appropriate resolution for the format you want.

Here are the basics:

• between 200 and 300 dpi, quality is optimum
• between 100 and 200 dpi, you get a good result
• between 90 and 100 dpi, print quality is correct
• Under 75 dpi, the resolution is too low and we would not work on your image

Prefer Tiff format than Jpeg due to the high compression of the latest that can deteriorate your image.

Our XL prints are shipped either by Colissimo or by carriers, depending on sizes. If your posters are beyond 1m, it will be automatically shipped by carriers.

Delivery with Colissimo

Your order is shipped with Colissimo. Prints are delivered to your home within 48h once handled by La Poste.

Secure

With Colissimo, your order is delivered from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 12:00 directly to your mailbox. In case of absence or if package cannot be placed in your mailbox, your postman leaves a message with date and post office address where you can retrieve your package by presenting your ID.

You can follow your parcel anytime using the provided tracking number (eg : 8L00300548899 or 8G00300559987) on the following website: www.colissimo.fr.

Damaged parcel with Colissimo

When receiving the parcel, if you believe that the packaging shows signs of deterioration, you can either:

• Refuse the parcel, in which case it will be returned directly to the sender
• Request that it be held at my post office so I can open it in the presence of an authorized agent.

You cannot accept the parcel subject to reservations.

Damaged parcel with carriers

• Refuse the parcel if the packaging shows signs of deterioration.
• A "subject to opening" mention cannot be accepted by carrier.
• If you accept the parcel and do not witness the incident in present of carrier agent, carrier will decline responsibilité and we won't be able to print your order again.
• A little piece of advice: ask agent to wait for you to check parcel content before signing the delivery order.
