Crafted in the Himalayas, the Nepal Lokta takes its name after its origins: a shrub of a small tree of Nepal whose bark is used to produce non standard papers.
Produced by hand by local people, Lokta paper is part of a trade fair.
Lokta paper comes from a shrub that grows in Nepal, high in the Eastern Himalayas: Daphne Daphne papyracea or Cannabina. The Lokta tree grows between 2000 and 3500 m, and has the particularity to fully regenerate within 5-8 years after cutting. The ecological balance is thus maintained while providing an economic activity for the people of Nepal mountains.
A unique texture
Warm and silky, the Nepal Lokta paper boasts an irregular and unique structure for each and every sheet. This explains that the paper weight might vary.
Its striking appearance, near the parchment, the images should be especially in need of texture. The Lokta is not cut on the edges: we then say that it is fringed on all four edges.

Specifications for the service
The paper is completely handmade, the format is indicative, and implies potential change in its:
- Thickness

- Geometry of the sheet (trapeze, perpendicularity etc..)
- Amount of fiber
- Rightness of tone
These changes bring an artistic touch to each print and make each single print. These changes also make the centering of the image random.
A revolving border of 4 cm is required: the maximum size of your image is therefore 42×67 cm.

- The Lokta is produced only in this format: 50×75 cm
- Production time: 10 business days once the order has been accepted, so that enough time is taken for drying.

- Vos images sont manipulées avec des gants blancs puis protégées par du papier de soie.
- Votre commande est ensuite insérée dans un emballage en carton, spécifique, plat et renforcé.

- La livraison est expédiée dès que votre commande a été fabriquée.
- Le délai de livraison s'ajoute au délai de fabrication.

Your order is shipped with Colissimo. Prints are delivered to your home within 48h once handled by La Poste.
Secure
With Colissimo, your order is delivered from Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 12:00 directly to your mailbox. In case of absence or if package cannot be placed in your mailbox, your postman leaves a message with date and post office address where you can retrieve your package by presenting your ID.

Damaged parcel with Colissimo
When receiving the parcel, if you believe that the packaging shows signs of deterioration, you can either:
- Refuse the parcel, in which case it will be returned directly to the sender
- Request that it be held at my post office so I can open it in the presence of an authorized agent.
You cannot accept the parcel subject to reservations.

Damaged parcel with carriers
- Refuse the parcel if the packaging shows signs of deterioration.
- A "subject to opening" mention cannot be accepted by carrier.
- If you accept the parcel and do not witness the incident in present of carrier agent, carrier will decline responsibilité and we won't be able to print your order again.
- A little piece of advice: ask agent to wait for you to check parcel content before signing the delivery order.
